The new measures for the airports to Cyril, Geneva and Basel, as well as for Swiss-based airlines are described in a 30-page document by the Federal Public Health Office (FOPH), reprinted in SontagsZeitung.
These measures include:
Control of passenger temperature at the airport
Fever sensors can be used at Swiss airports to detect body temperature higher than 38C.
So far, Switzerland has given up tests such as an entry and exit condition.
However, Alitalia is already measuring passenger temperatures at Cyril Airport with instructions from the Italian government. Elevators are barred from entering the plane.
Those with a medical certificate should be able to cancel or review their journey free of charge until six hours before departure.
Package rules
Rules for transportation luggage are also likely to change during flights from Switzerland. For example, Emirates Airlines has already decided that the luggage of the hands must now be checked. Only key “s, such as purses, bags or children's items”, are allowed in the cabin.
Inside the Airplane
Waiting in front of the toilet on board, as is usually the case with long - distance flights, cannot be tolerated. Social design on an airplane is generally difficult to maintain, especially when passengers gather in front of the toilet.
Also, there should be no foot lying in a row, and especially on short destination flights; drinks and food will no longer be served; and duty-free sales on board can also be banned.
One of the proposed measures is that airlines should not allow their passengers to stay on a delayed plane for more than half an hour.
What about social distance?
Much has been said about airlines eliminating middle countries, but Swiss airlines SWISS, Edelweiss and Helvetic have not pledged to take this drastic step in their economic booths, which would cause ticket prices to rise.
However, SW The ISS is recommending that passengers wear masks on board at least August 31st, and use them at the airport before or after flights, “whenever sufficient social distance cannot be properly respected”.
Masks
The Swiss government has announced that the mask will be required on all planes regardless of whether they are commercial, private or cartels from Saturday, August 15th.
Currently, masks are required aboard most commercial aircraft, however, this has been a policy imposed by airline companies rather than as the Swiss government's request.
For example, Swiss airlines filed a mandatory mask request on July 6th.
Now passengers on all aircraft flying in, rising from the sea or landing in Switzerland will be required to wear masks - reflecting similar rules for all ways of public transportation throughout the country.
