The November 2nd meeting at the White House, where the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia will meet, will be adviser for national security, Robert O'Brien and American President for Dialogue Richard Green.
So released a senior American administration official for Radio Europe.
The United States is looking forward to these important discussions between Prime Minister Hoti and President Vuciq. The US believes progress in economic issues is key to advancing the peace process”, the official told REL.
Friday, Green made it known that leaders of the two countries will meet at the White House for talks on September 2nd.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, have confirmed that they have responded positively to Yerenelli's invitation to the White House meeting on 2 September.
Both leaders have said that economic issues will be discussed at this meeting.
This is the second meeting called by Yerenelli.
The first, scheduled for 27 June, was cancelled a few days before the detention, since The Hague's Specialised Prosecutor's Office had declared it has filed a war crimes indictment against Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who was invited to the Washington meeting.
However, dialogue between these two states has resumed on 16 July in Brussels.
This process, mediated by the European side, was launched in 2011.
It was blocked by November 2018, as Kosovo authorities had imposed taxes on Serbian goods.
