Antibodies are proteins of the immune system in the human body that combat infections.
After the first dose, all the subjects that took the vaccine developed, antibodies blocking the SARS-CoV-2 virus to connect to human cells.
Most of the people also developed <x0 sub-body neutrals”, which are more powerful and prevents viruses from infecting cells.
After a second dose, given 28 days later, all participants had more powerful neutral antibodies.
The company said the side effects were generally easy, the AFP reports.
The final phase of the test is set to take place this fall.
The U.S. government has given the company $1.6 billion to develop the vaccine, but in time, this company is behind other firms, including Modernna and AstraZeneca, which have entered the final stages of their evidence.
The drug, which is a liquid compound, says the company, can be stored at between two and eight degrees Celsius.
In the spring, the company said it had proven the efficiency of a seasonal flu vaccine that it developed using the same technology. / REL
