For the first time in 12 years of functioning of the Kosovo Foreign Ministry, in full compliance with relevant legal provisions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has carried out the assignment in the form of regular rotation for diplomatic and consular personnel, according to the concept “One in the Ministry, One in Minister”.
Minister Melza Haradinaj éblla today indicated that for higher goals they will return from missions to serve at the ministry more than 50 members of diplomatic and consular personnel who have completed the regular 4-year mandate, as well as those who for more than eight years have never returned to serve the ministry.
Given the legal competencies and recommendations conveyed by the interior panel for expression of interest, Minister Haradinaj Stubla has appointed more than 30 members of the Foreign Service, career officials who for more than 11 years have not been given the opportunity to serve abroad.
Chief diplomat Haradinaj Stublla said that of these professionals, experienced in the respective fields, who will exercise functions in diplomatic and consular affairs, has sought to exercise honest and correct positions and duties in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore, international acts and Kosovo legislation.
Thanks to all diplomats who go on missions and those who return to serve in the ministry, the foreign minister has voiced confidence that newly appointed diplomats will serve Kosovo with honor and represent its interest wherever they go.
This important process for foreign service has been carried out in full transparency, guided by the principle of merit and equality, based on professional qualifications, work experience, foreign language knowledge, and corresponding certificate for each appointed candidate's consular services.
Assignments in specific tasks in missions abroad, at current levels, are based on the needs of the service and readiness of any employee to serve in the ministry or anywhere outside the country according to the Ministry's needs in implementing the foreign service regulation, Article 3 and 4 of the appendix II.
In the application of Article 7 and 9 of the Order for Foreign Service, Article 6, paragraph 1.3 of QRK NR. 04/2014 for completion and changing of the No.02/2009 Foreign Service, and Article 9 and 10 of the appendix II, all officials at the ministry with relevant diplomatic or consular degrees have been given the opportunity to express interest in serving abroad in adequate positions, said a MPJD media communique.
