Tunberg wrote in his personal Facebook account that her vacation year was over and that it was an excellent feeling to be back in school.
In June 2019, she announced that she would abandon her school so that she could devote herself to protecting the environment and climate for the rest of 2019 through 2020.
She met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin last week, urging her to take the lead in the global fight against climate change.
“It has a huge responsibility, but also an excellent opportunity to take the role of a leading person in the fight against climate change”, Tunberg said after meeting with the German Chancellor.
We remember that the 17-year-old attended a gathering dedicated to the Berlin environmental preservation struggle.
She has received numerous awards, including: The Honorary Award of the Royal Geographic Society Scotland; 100 most influential people of the Times magazine; and the youngest person of the Times; including the world's 100 most powerful women; Forbes magazine; and two successive nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize (2019 and 2020).
