Chancellor Merkel has not talked to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko since 9 August, a German government spokesman said.
According to him, Merkel has talked with Lukashenko for the last time on August 9th on Election Day, Reuters reports.
Lukashenko said earlier that Merkel called him on Sunday and asked him to hold talks without providing more details.
