KEDS is also vigorously investing in Pristina's Qafa neighbourhood. Over 2 thousand consumers of this neighbourhood, including dozens of businesses, will have compatible networks with the most advanced European networks and much better electricity supply.
The network installed there decades ago has almost completed its life span. As the number of residents in this neighborhood increases, so has the demand for electricity. Network overloads that caused disruptions in the past are being completely eliminated. Old stabilizers that fail to adapt to new energy technology are being completely replaced by new ones.
KEDS in Qafa neighbourhood, is also replacing transformers, building new medium-tensity networks, and building power supply capacities. Thus, alternative lines are being developed, meaning that if an exit is in disarray, the supply immediately passes to the alternative exit and the consumer is not faced with energy shortages.
KEDB's investments in Pristina for this year total the figure of 17m euros. Over 800 workers are engaged in these projects, who are doing their best to make electricity stops as scarce as possible so that these works will have minimal impact on the daily activities of citizens. Through this investment, KEDS will provide modern and higher quality services for capital consumers.
