Three days ago, 11 armed Serb soldiers marched this way.
And now, the border crossing with Serbia here in the Karaceva village of Kamenica is being patrolled by someone else.
Armed, controlling the territory with dyke, Kosovo border police officials are monitoring the situation.
This patrol of the country's security forces has made the village feel safer.
Krasniqi also tells of the fear that Serbian gendarmerie created in those who saw them soon.
Meanwhile, besides KFOR, Serbian Defence Minister Alexander Volin said they were co-ordinated among themselves.
According to him, Serbs will not agree to include members of the Kosovo police in their patrol.
And residents of Karaceva, with Kosovo police around or without them, are willing to protect the village.
But for such operations within Kosovo territory, KFOR must agree with the responsible institutions.
So says Deputy Prime Minister Albulen Balaj-Halimaj.
Otherwise, residents are planning a protest this week as a sign of revolt over the situation.
