The Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK), Sejdiu Hoxha, has estimated that the government led by Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has failed to come to the aid of citizens and businesses at the time when our country is facing the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this interview gave “The new age”, Hoxha has said that the Hoti government is continuing the course of failure that former government led by Albin Kurti had launched.
For more than six months, Hoti's government has managed to embed a single fiscal package, which as a key point has 170 euros for private sector workers and paid for 50 percent for businesses. In addition to the countries of the region, Kosovo has been mostly delayed for implementation of the fiscal package. The government or prime ministers, that money has not had to give from the family budget, because there has been a state budget, but as a result of this process's ignorance and procrastination, businesses and citizens S dealt with second payments”, Hoxha has indicated, calling the government Hoti unprofesional.
He has said the Government of Kosovo would have to follow the example of many European countries, which have reacted with urgency to pandemic. In this context, he has said that during all this time parliamentary group The PDK has been constructive in managing the country's situation. Hoxha said that for the sake of the citizens' interest, The PDK, although in the opposition, has supported the revised budget even though, according to him, this budget is flawed. “The PDK was willing to make the contribution so that the pandemic can have as little impact on citizens' lives as possible, but, unfortunately, this package has not found support from then-placed parties”, Hoxha has expressed.
Hoxha, who is also a member of the parliamentary investigative commission concerning the privatisation process in Kosovo, has also talked about the work of this commission. Various charges against the PDK have been brought for years as regards the privatisation process. To prove otherwise and shed light on this process, the chairman of The PDK, Kadri Veseli, has initiated a parliamentary investigation from the”, Hoxha has said.
While talking about the possibility of PDK involvement in the Hoti government, Hoxha has said that if they were already interested, they would be in power. So far we've had the opportunity to be a ruling party, but we didn't want”, Hoxha declared.
As for media reports on the possibility of PDK involvement in the Hoti government, Hoxha has said they are not interested in that. So far we've had the opportunity to be a ruling party, but we haven't. We've wanted to reflect as an opposition party and prove that we are for the state and citizens, even though we're in opposition”, Hoxha has declared.
