The Republic of Kosovo's “Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has questioned the actions of Kosovo's interim Telekom Board, in a difficult financial situation in this public enterprise of strategic importance for the country”, it says in this response.

On the other hand, the government says they do not welcome this action by the Board, and that remarks raised by the Union are disturbing.

The government of the Republic of Kosovo does not welcome this action of the Telekom Board at all. The remarks raised by the Telekom Union are also of concern to the Government as a shareholder. The government is determined not to allow further degradation of this strategically important venture for the country. Therefore, in the quality of the shareholder, the government will take all necessary institutional steps to prevent such actions and to ensure conditions for the recovery of Kosovo Telekom”, Hoti was quoted as saying.

This response from Hoti comes a day after the union has written that they had a meeting with the Acting Board of Directors, where, according to them, they have told them that they will not handle the Aztec management. The same ones have requested their dismissal.

“Today, monitoring closely the BPD meeting are noted as: The BPD is serving designated clans at the expense of Telekom and are not performing the tasks entrusted to you by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

The FSP-PTK from this moment of the SHCAP all relations with the BPD and does not recognise them as the Bord of Telekom, due to irresponsible actions and at the expense of Telekom's interests. F The SP-PTK is seeking from the Kosovo government, the dismissal of this BPD immediately, and the appointment of a BDP that truly has courage and professionalism with Telekom” leading, said in response.
