Hoti: Despite declining positive cases, we have not overcome pandemic

Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti is holding a meeting with Kosovo mayors, Report Express reports.

The meeting will discuss managing the situation with pandemic, the new school year, as well as financial assistance for Kosovo municipalities.

Hoti said in front of the mayors that the number of cases that have resulted positive in recent days has gone down, but that is no sign that Kosovo has overcome pandemic.

The trend of new cases has begun to decline, but it is no sign that we have brought the pandemic under control, because the number of fatality cases remains quite high”, the prime minister said, until he spoke about the start of the new school year.

“We are close to the new school year, the minister has done a good job in terms of other states' experiences.

It is a talk of financial support for municipalities and then we will start with your discussions starting with mayors”, Prime Minister Hoti said.
