Health Minister Armenmen Zemaj has announced that they are obliged to toughen the measures, as a result of the current situation with Covid-19.
According to him, in recent days the gastronomy sector has not respected any of the recommendations of health institutions for preventing the spread of this virus.
Zemaj after his visit to the University Clinical Centre, said they have been aware that following the release of the measures, the number of cases with coronarys will increase.
He has addressed criticism of the Kurti Government, which, according to him, if Kosovo were to turn into complete isolation, regardless of the results, citizens' welfare would be damaged.
The management of pandemics in total isolation and invisibility management are two things completely distant, and everybody knows that. Even those who are advising for complete isolation also, who immediately followed the isolation, made public with mass gatherings. Of course, if we decided to return to that isolation today, we would have immediate, signifiable results, and populations. Management and controlling would be easier, and ideal for political points. But how much would this damage these vital dimensions of the well - being of the lives of citizens? Of course management and auditing would be very easy”, Zemaj said.
Among other things, Zemaj has stated on Saturday before reporters that despite willingness and co-operation, yesterday and the day before they faced inadequate realities, where gastronomy despite recommendations, has not respected either.
I myself witnessed from the ground, I also received information from inspectors on the ground, but I have received thousands of messages from concerned citizens, that in most of Kosovo's centres, we have a gathering of people who do not respect any of the measures imposed. In the face of this situation we are forced to exacerbate measures”, he added.
Minister Zemaj said the health system is barely managing the current situation, so according to him it will not allow the situation to be further exacerbated with Covid-19.
