Health authorities in Greece warned on Tuesday of the risk of spreading the new coronary, which causes COVIDD-19.
There should be great vigilance for a possible increase in cases. The situation can quickly get out of hand. It takes vigilance and attention from all”, said Greece's top scientific adviser, Sotiris Tsiodoras.
On Tuesday, authorities have reported on 121 new cases of infected people, warning that the figures are moving towards growth in recent days.
4,855 people have been infected in Greece so far and 209 deaths have been recorded.
Greece imposed isolation measures in mid-March, managed to curb the spread of the virus in a move.
But the increase in numbers over the past few days prompted authorities to force citizens to wear masks in closed spaces. / REL
