Germany has registered the largest number of new coronary cases in more than three months, Reuters agency writes.
The Robert Koch Institute has reported that 1226 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total figure to 218,519. It's the biggest number since May 9th.
Meanwhile, six people died, bringing the figure to 9207.
Germany's Health Minister Jens Spahn has warned of the spread to nearly every country because of those returning from vacation and because of the parties being organised.
It's definitely disturbing. We have a lot of spreading around the country. It's because of vacationers coming back, but also because of all the different holidays and family parties. We have small and large spreads in many regions, nearly across the country”, Spahn said about radio “Deutschlandfunk”.
Spahn has also said he is skeptical of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19, which has received approval from Russian authorities on Tuesday. He said the vaccine wasn't tested enough.
Russia has announced 5102 new coronary infected in the last 24 hours, bringing the figure to 902,701. Also recorded are 129 dead as a result of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching a total figure of 15.260.
