Germany reports a doubling of coronary cases in the past three weeks, and Chancellor Angela Merkel warns there will be no further relief of restrictive measures.

On Wednesday, the number of people confirmed with the 19th handover increased by over 1,500, bringing the total to 226 thousand.

According to authorities, 39 % of the cases are taught that they were imported from abroad and that Kosovo, Croatia and Turkey are identified as the main site of the infection.

We're in the middle of the pandemic. The virus is among us, though invisible. We find that increasing human movements and contacts are increasing new opportunities. We have to stop this trend,” Chancellor Merkel said.

For the country, economic activities and workplace maintenance remain a priority.

When more than 9,000 lives lost from the virus in Germany are reported, attention is also being given to preparing anticonvention drugs and vaccines.

With the successful completion of the third phase of testing in people, authorities are hoping to vaccinate the first Germans en masse starting early next year.
