European Union sources have confirmed on Tuesday for Radio Free Europe that a upcoming expert meeting under dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by the European Union, will take place on 27 August in Brussels.
Nabila Masrali, EU spokeswoman for Foreign Affairs and Security, has confirmed the development of this meeting Thursday, but without providing further details.
The relaunched “Dialogue at the highest level in July continues with a series of expert-level meetings as part of the ongoing process. We can confirm that the next meeting will take place on August 27th. As a rule, we don't comment on the discussions that are going on over”, she said.
Diplomatic sources in the EU have warned that a round of high-level meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, will be held in early September.
In Brussels so far, it has been talked about the missing, displaced and economic co-operation.
According to the same sources from autumn, an increase in the dynamics of the dialogue process is expected, and it is intended that leaders' meetings have twice a month, while expert meetings are held every week. In addition to the readiness of the parties, it also depends on the situation created with measures for combating the coronary pandemic, due to which there are limits even on travel and the number of physical presence meetings at EU institutions.
