Through a communiqué the Democratic Party of Kosovo has said that by this decision, President Imri Ahmeti has been ignorant and ignorant of businesses, and has also immediately begun reducing the number of employees in these businesses.
“We like the PDK, during the day we have accepted many complaints and concerns from these businesses, but many do not have the courage to raise their voices because immediately the inspector retaliates with various penalties. The Lipjan municipality is the poorest municipality at the Kosovo level, so the closure of the square greatly damages the business sector”, said the PDK communiqué.
According to this party, the municipality has had to mobilise in order for citizens to respect safeguard clauses against the Cavid-19 virus, as according to them, there are many cases that those infected with Ovid-19 are coming out of town.
The Sub-Commun is never offering any service to the infected with Covid-19, so they're looking around town. The Lipjan municipality has also had to focus more on creating conditions in the health sector with the aim of preventing the spread of the virus until medical staff has no means. The Lipjan municipality has also had to create mobile teams to visit the infected with Covid-19 because most of them need medical assistance”, the communiqué says.
Business representatives have also voiced concerns about stopping the movement of citizens in “Adem Jashari” Square.
Thus far the pandemic has caused major damage to businesses, while the municipality's decision to stop the movement of citizens after 6:00 deepens the financial crisis in businesses. As long as public institutions make such decisions, then they have to make decisions to secure salaries for our workers because with this situation we can't even cover our expenses”, one of the business representatives in Lipjan has said of TIME.
