The total number of infected people in China has reached 88,328, while 4677 have been registered, according to data at John Hopkins University.
China has increased the number of tests in recent weeks, implementing 4.84 million tests every day since late July, said Wang Jiangping, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Throughout the country, nearly 5,000 medical institutions and 38,000 technicians are available to conduct tests.
