Bytyci of PDK: KLA war values bill will be processed at every session

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Gazmend Bytyci has called the way the KLA's Bill for Values today's voting at the Kosovo Assembly session surprising. Parliament MPs did not vote the bill in question on first reading, many of them were not present in the hall and only [...]

Parliament deputies did not vote on the first reading the bill in question, even many of them were not present in the hall and only 36 of them participated in the vote, where 35 voted pro and one opposed.

And that for the initial MP of the bill was unexpected when his adoption in principle was expected.

The “was a surprise form of voting because we have been discussing with all parliamentary groups for three months, we have had political consensus, and unity for the law to treat in the first reading and concerns to address in second reading and to improve... We understand some of the concerns of international colleagues and friends, but we have assured them that we are willing to make the necessary improvements and amnestys of” in our second reading, he said at a news conference.

Bytyci said they aim to institutionalise the KLA war as the neuter value of the people of Kosovo. He said he would continue to present this bill at the upcoming Assembly hearings.

“This law under the decision of the Parliament will be prosecuted in each session, any hearing we get first will be this law until 61 MPs vote for, against or abstention”, he said.

Otherwise, the KLA's war values bill has also been opposed by internationals, where the American Embassy in Pristina and Switzerland reacted, while sparking controversy on the political scene in Kosovo. This bill could be brought back to the polls.
