Boarding deepens crisis in public enterprises

The Kosovo government this week has dismissed four provisional boards of public enterprises, which were appointed by the Kurti government. But this decision by opposition parties in the country is considered an attempt to capture the state. And for economic connoisseurs, politics is further damaging companies [...]

The ghetto doctor from the Vetevendosje Movement says that current power does not want boards that work in the interest of society, but in the interest of its own people.

He said these actions are trying to capture the state despite the dismissed boards working as they foresee laws in the country.

The doctor who in the past government was also legal adviser to the Ministry of Economy says the boards were fired for refusing to appoint certain people. “State dismissed them just because these boards held contests independently and transparently, as the law envisions to select reruns and other officials. With the intervention in this issue not only with the decisions that have been taken but also with the government's preliminary efforts to intervene in these actions, it is a violation of the law, and much more shows that this government, which as the Vetevendosje Movement, we consider it illegal illegal to take over the state. Taking the state does not mean the presence of an official or person assigned to the decision-making bodies, but means decision-making for certain purposes, not public interest as the Constitution requires, but the narrow interests of the oligarchs of the rulers... This power does not want the independence of the boards as the law envisions, but wants ordered decision making, boards have been dismissed for refusing to appoint certain persons or suspend competitions until a time when power would have a possible time to appoint the people of“, the doctor stressed.

On the other hand, Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Sejdiu Hoxha tells Kosovo that the practice of throwing public company boards is a practice that is damaging these companies.

While he says he has not seen any reason for the move, he requires that the government keep its hands off these companies.

“Such practices of interference in the autonomy of public enterprises have never been like in the matter of the Vetevendosje government, the former prime minister, Albin Kurti, and now Avdullah Hoti... I have not seen any concrete government's reason for making such a decision, but that the government should keep its hands off public companies, it should let them do business and perform professional services and co-operate with people managing with those public companies unless it is estimated that there is no satisfactory performance of those public companies, Hoxha said.

And according to economic connoisseur, Mustafe Kadriaj frequent change of boards is driving these public companies into economic crisis further.

He even says that even the nominations at the top of the boards are not being made by respecting professionalism, but only to accommodate the party's “people.

“As a result of political interference have come to this point that economically, and on the part of management of these companies, it is extremely harmful, because this exchange of budgets and executives is basically out of order. Since in the name of this government such as LVV and LDK that have made changing boards can only be asked a question of political acts that it has been changed better or worse from now on. Unfortunately not good, they're even worse because the moment this arbitrary and rapid change is made, those people can't even know that problem, because unfortunately, the appointment on board is not going through professionalisation, but it's just the goal of establishing people or supporters of these political subjects in a way to sort of erase their demands”, Kadriaj stressed.

The Kosovo government dismissed four Interim Boards of Directors, the one CRU “Pristina”, NPH “Iber ) Lepenc”, KEK and CRU “Southern Health”, Prizren.

We remember that even past government led by former Prime Minister Albin Kurti had downloaded the boards of many public enterprises in the country.
