Berlin City authorities have agreed to gradually ease measures in the sex industry with all the pandemic, and paid sex services are back on offer from Saturday.
For sexual relations, clients will have to wait until 1 September, after which such services will only be allowed under strict hygiene regulations, the city's health authorities said Tuesday following a decision by members of the regional parliament.
In the first phase, places for sexual domination will be opened.
The sex industry has been banned in Germany since mid-March as part of efforts to curb the coronary pandemic.
The Berlin regional authorities' decision to restart the industry was taken “from a health perspective, but also from the perspective of women”, the report said.
Otherwise, “has the risk of people affected by the ban becoming economically dependent on others and secretly doing their work under dangerous conditions for their health,”, the statement said.
After early efforts by the pandemic to harmonise the national response to combat infection, in recent months, 16 German federal states have decided on their own restrictions on the coronary.
