Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami has called on Kosovo Parliament deputies that tomorrow at the plenary session vote in two readings on the draft economic recovery law.
The head of the state wallet wrote on the social network, “Facebook” that the country's economy will be revived and the withdrawal of 10 % savings from the Trust will be enabled.
This bill allows the country's citizens to withdraw 10% of their means to the Pension Savings Fund, increasing aggregate demand in the economy. The bill allows the transfer of means from the Kosovo Privatisation Agency to Kosovo's budget to become operational of the country's economic recovery. Through implementation of the law on establishing the Fund for Cremation, crediting the economy with favourable conditions for businesses and farmers through risk coverage and subsidy of interest rates by the Government of Kosovo. By changing the Law for TVS will reduce the TVS rate from 18% to 8% for hotel and gastronom. As a result, the Law on Economic Regeneration ʹ COVID-19 creates the legal opportunity for the Government of Kosovo to implement important measures which will push the country's economic recovery process forward and improve the lives of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. So, as Minister of Finance, I call on Kosovo Assembly deputies to vote on the bill tomorrow”, she said.
