Azem says he offered testimony to the misuse of emergency package, prosecution silent

The state prosecutor has not yet disclosed investigations into misuse of means from the emergency fiscal package, despite economic crime police have launched investigations and were offered testimony by the Independent Private Sector Union.

The most vocal of the discovery of these possible abuses was the head of the Private Sector Workers' Union, Yusuf Azemi, who has said there is still no information from the prosecution if anyone was convicted, but, adds, there is information that economic crime police have started investigating the arguments the Private Sector Union has offered them.

Azma interviewed by the prosecution days ago, told Kosovo Prees, that all these arguments had been offered to the labour inspectorate, but it seems that they too were threatened by company owners.

All the problems we can't solve, then we ask for the support of the Labour Inspectorate, in fact, when we talk, we're very close to each other, but something I can see, that even the labour inspector is often threatened by company owners and I ask the question about all the company owners' courage to threaten an inspector of work”, Azemi said.

Kosovoress has tried several times to get written answers from the prosecution, but they have not responded.

Private Sector Workers Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi a few weeks ago was interviewed by the prosecution in connection with his claims that there were abuses of emergency means.

Azem said the emergency package has gone more to the benefit of company owners than of workers. He says the Private Sector Union has demanded that the means when company owners have adopted them, return to the workers' budget.

And for his allegations of misuse of workers' tools from companies, Azemi says the minister and deputy finance minister have always been notified, but after they have taken nothing, Azemi stresses that he is obliged to apply to the state prosecutor and economic crimes police to assess the situation the opinion has been announced.

Azem: I've offered sufficient documentation on the abuses made by company owners.

“At the moment we have seen the workers being misused, we have called the minister and finance minister and the deputy minister of finance and we have talked to all the arts, we have announced the opinion that they are being misused, but at the moment when we have seen that there is no success and there is no response of the finance minister or other organs, so on June 17th of this year, we union, i think, as the head of this union, I have made requests at the state prosecutor and the economic crime police have been able to assess the situation that we've announced, or abuses, or ill-fated, and I think that the prosecutor has been able to deal with the economic crimes, and that the police have been able to say the three hours before the state've done, and that I've been able to report the two companies who've been able to do so much of economic crimes, and the two times since the police have been able to do it was doing so.

According to him, misappropriations of emergency package have not been done only in the first round by company owners, but this has continued.

Azem has said that economic crime police do not have enough days, so during the interview, it has been discussed in detail the misuse of company owners to workers.

The nature of the abuse work is not days long enough for the economic crime police, we have detailed the abuses of company owners to workers. We've offered some form of bank account to workers where there's decidently been misappropriations and normal data demanded that when they get out on the ground, at least they're equipped with enough arguments”, Azemi said.

Azem adds that all state institutions have failed to prevent such abuses, so even police have been told that if they fail to address those allegations properly, trade unions will be obliged to say that economic crimes police are also co-operative
