Four thousand citizens were sentenced and detained during the months of pandemic due to mask violations mainly decisions on limiting movement taken by the government, Kurti and Hoti.
But after a Supreme Court legal opinion, all these citizens will not be prosecuted.
This is because such decisions have been deemed contrary to the Constitution.
Legal experts even say that these citizens can demand compensation.
All those who did not comply with the decision to limit movement during the months of pandemic will not be prosecuted.
The Supreme Court's opinion by the Kosovo Institute for Justice is being deemed late.
According to Ehat Miftaright, citizens arrested for violating the measures could seek compensation from the state.
Supreme Court President Enver Peci denies the verdict has been late. According to him, they have just received papers from the courts they have acted.
Initially, a decision to restrict the movement was made by the government Kurti on March 23rd, where the movement between 10:00 and 1600 was banned and between 8:00 and 0600 a.m.
One such decision was made by the government Hoti in July when in some municipalities limited the movement of citizens between 9:00 and 05 a.m.
