Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK)) IPK Investigation Department investigators have arrested a police official on suspicion that the same had committed criminal work “tgt banned” respectively.

The IPK had accepted information about a police officer of the rank sergeant, via operational routes related to smuggling goods.

The car suspect has been detained by IPK investigators yesterday evening (12.08.20) in Pristina and in co-ordination with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, the same has been done to control the car.

During car search by IPK investigators have been found and temporarily seized different items such as textile goods, money and other items.

The car with which the cargo transport has been made has also been seized, as well as during the search, identified secret locations inside the car allegedly used to hide goods.

IPK investigators have also invited specialised units of Kosovo Customs to sequencing goods allegedly used for banned trade.

Following these investigative actions, the competent prosecutor and the prosecutor's decision police official have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.

Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended.
