The American technological giant “Apple Inc.” has for the first time placed Kosovo's name in its service known as “Apple Maps”, but not the international borders of this state.
The demand of more than 197- thousand citizens directed via a petition at “Change.org” appears to have been taken into account by “Apple”, but not in full.
The Republic of Kosovo, which has declared its independence since 2008, continues to appear at “Apple Maps” as part of Serbia's international borders, although some thin and grey-coloured lines represent Kosovo's borders.
These interrupted lines, with which Kosovo also appears in “Google Maps”, doesn't show the international boundaries of a state, but “Disputed borders”.
This shows that “Apple” still views as “discussable” citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo, which has so far recognised 115 sovereign entities, including the United States of America.
In addition, the names of Kosovo cities are not found at all on the map, except that of the capital, which appears in the Serbian language and is written in the Latin script “Gaj” used by Slavs instead of writing on Cyrillic. Kosovo cities appear only on the basis of “coordinates Latife” and “Longitude”
The territory of Kosovo in this service of “Apple” still continues to figure as part of Serbia, and only one search of your city is enough to add the “section, Serbia”.
Look at the demonstration below:
On the other hand, Maggie Cara, who has created the petition addressed to “Appple” today has “declared victory” at “Change.org” writing that it is happy that, according to her, “Apple” has put Kosovo on the map.
The balance made power. I am so happy to say that Kosovo is located on Apple Maps! Thank you for your support. She wrote.
This statement of “profits” from the Cara conflicts with the petition that this last one had addressed “Apple”. There she considered it to be “disturbing that Kosovo is not appearing on Apple Maps” and that the hard “you can see its limits”, which has really not changed at all except that it finds the name of the state.
This petition was soon turned into one of the most controversial topics, and sparked fierce debates between Albanians and Serbs.
It was the world-renowned Albanian star, I want Lipa, who in her social media accounts had asked the gendarmes “Apple” to put Kosovo and Palestine on the map, followed by Rita Ora, Ava Max and many other names.
Severe reactions came from the Serbian Estad, who were trying to represent the Albanian singer as nationalist and launched the campaign against her.
In addition, Serbs came together and created three petitions not to put Kosovo on the map ívell one, which is known as Putin's leader, Boris Malagurski and two other Serbs.
Although many are sharing information as if “Appple” has surrendered to Albanians, this does not seem to have happened in reality.
The only petition that Albanians addressed to the American technological gender, “Apple Incorporation”, has been closed and declared “profitreen” by “handed over” in the face of the battle for presenting Kosovo's full borders, and enjoying the fact that it is only generating the name “kosovo”.
