Such pacos often have inscriptions in Chinese that there are ornaments inside them in order to avoid controlling bio security or additional payments.
Although most of the packages arrive in the United States, where about 630 in Florida, citizens in England have also begun accepting similar shipments.
Sunflower seeds have reached Japan in recent days, while authorities have asked citizens not to open them for fear that they could be exposed to the danger of coronavirus or various insects.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that they have been familiar with the issue and that citizens from all over the United States are accepting packages that they have not even ordered with sunflower seeds from China.
They have also announced that they are cooperating with customs and other federal agencies to find out what it really is about.
Agriculture experts believe it's about some kind of fraud that different companies use on the Internet when they want to increase their product advertising.
Chinese officials have indicated they are working in that direction to stop these shipments. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Wang Wenbin has said that restrictions exist in China for sending sunflower seeds by mail.
American and Chinese mails are discussing the possibility that these false shipments will return to China.
