The senior official was in the role of a pilot in one of the plane accidents and was on his own. There were no survivors in the accident near the airport in the town of Soldotna, the Alaska State Corps announced.
On the next plane were four tourists from South Carolina, a guide from Kansas and a pilot from Alaska, writes “Reuters”, Report Express broadcast.
Four of the victims were aged 23, 24, 25 and 26. All men were declared dead at the scene, except for one who died while being taken to the hospital, authorities reported.
The remains of crashed planes also fell onto a highway that closed for safety.
The accident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Safety Board in Transport.
