Over 73,000 jobs in Croatia appear in one year

The number of unemployed rose to more than 150,000, the highest unemployment rate in history.
The decrease in the number of employees and the increase in the number of unemployed are the direct consequences of the Coronavirus, which marked this year.
According to the State Employment Service (CBS), 1.512,452 were employed in Croatia at the end of June. This is 73,021, or 4.6 per cent less than late June last year, when, according to the final data of state statistics, a total of 1,585.473 people were employed in Croatia.
Almost every 20 citizens who worked in the middle of last year are no longer working, and the number of employees at that time has decreased to approximately the number of residents in the town of Zara.
At the same time, the number of unemployed rose significantly at the end of June last year, according to final data of state statistics, 114,498 citizens were out of work, and one year later 150,651, which is about a third.
