In the last 24 hours, some 214,000 new cases of coronary have been recorded worldwide, thus bringing the total number of patients to 20.16 million, the World Health Organization reports.
737,417 people in the world have died from COVID-19 so far, 4.835 in the last 24 hours alone.
The largest number of confirmed cases is in North and South America, 10,799.062, of which 101,230 have recently been infected in the last 24 hours.
So far, 3,641,603 infected and 217,716 dead have been confirmed in Europe, and 2,757,822 infected and 55,564 dead in Southeast Asia.
The United States tops with the number of confirmed cases of 5,039,709, followed by Brazil with 3,057,470, India with 2,329,638, Russia 902,701, South Africa 566,109, Mexico 485,836, Peru 483,133, Chile 376,616 and Iran with 331,189 patients.
