143 new cases and 51 healed by Coronavirus in Albania

During the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry reports 143 new cases, 51 healed and 6 loss of life.

“The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 45 cases in Tirana, 31 in Durres, 17 in Korca, out of 6 cases in Shkodra, Kruje, Vlora, out of 4 cases in Elbasan, Lezha, Lushnje, Tropoj, out of 3 cases in Berat, Gjirokastra, 2 in Kavaja, from 1 case in Kukes, Mate, Prrenjas, Memalaj, Klom, Grams, Shijak.

They have failed to win the battle with disease in two Framework hospitals, despite doctors' efforts, a 58-year-old from Tepelena, a 71-year-old from Durres and 4 citizens from Tirana; a 50-year-old, 54-year-old, a 67-year-old and a 70-year-old”, the Ministry's announcement said.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs you about the situation of COVID19 in Albania in the last 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours, 650 tests have been conducted for suspects affected by Ovid 19, while 143 people have been positively confirmed with Ovid19.

The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 45 cases in Tirana, 31 in Durres, 17 in Korca, out of 6 cases in Shkodra, Kruje, Vlora, out of 4 cases in Elbasan, Lezha, Lushnje, Tropoj, out of 3 cases in Berat, Gjirokastra, 2 in Kavaja, from 1 case in Kukes, Mate, Prrenjas, Memalaj, Klom, Grams, Shijak.

Over the past 24 hours, 51 citizens have been healed, bringing the number of cured people to 3746 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Family doctors across the country are daily monitoring active persons with Covid19, who are housebound. If you are touched and have slight signs of the disease, contact your family doctor by means of the green line 0800 40 40.

If symptoms deteriorate, contact National Emergency 127, the only facility that makes reference and transport to COVID hospitals.

Currently at Infective Hospital and “Chiefs Rudoqi” are treating 119 positive confirmed patients, 14 patients are in intensive therapy, 3 of them assembled.

We inform you that in the two hospitals, Ovidius is continuing to treat 14 patients who have been positive with Covid19 and are currently negativeised, yet continue to receive hospital treatment for the effects of the disease.

While they continue to be treated according to relevant protocols, even suspected patients affected by the dangerous virus.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses all citizens and businesses to be careful and rigorous in implementing security protocols. This is the only way to limit the spread of infection. Individual behavior is defining in this battle with Ovid19.
It is very important that not only positive confirmed persons but also those who are suspected or who are in expectation of the test's response should remain isolated at home because they are the source of the infection.
