Minister of Education, Science and Technology Rame Likaj has started his tour of Kosovo municipalities from his birthplace in Decani. Likaj was hosted by the first of this municipality, the Ramosaj Union.
The first of education said that seeing the pandemic situation in the country is likely to begin the new year in September through distance learning.
Likaj said that to ensure access to all students, 1m euros have been allocated for the purchase of technological equipment.

We're working hard on managing the situation with COVIED, we're preparing for Plan B, which means that maybe in September we'll be forced to start learning in distance or learning online, and that's why we've made concrete plans... as the education minister we've allocated a package about 1m euros for the purchase of information technology”, Likaj said.
The minister of education said the priority is involvement in pre-school education.
Meanwhile, the mayor of the Decani municipality, Bashkim Ramosaj, expressed how the municipality aims to be an example for other schools in Kosovo.
He said minister Likaj is well aware of the needs of the education system in Kosovo, but especially in Decani.
“Objective and our aim will be to be an example in Kosovo, and if they look at the process as well. We've worked hard on infrastructure and we're working on other segments as well, we're believing that since this year we'll have the race that we've set together for which school will be best, whether in quality, security, environment”, he said.
