Within the walls where patients with COVID-19 are healed and killed

The Chambers of Infectious Clinics of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo have become a second home for many Kosovo doctors who are curing coronary patients who come with the hope of not staying in the hospital for long. But not all return to their homes. Their only desire is that [...]
Their only desire is to breathe more freely every morning, without the help of oxygen devices close to their bed.
And if I can't breathe, it's a woman over 60.

The condition of patients is severe, especially of older ones. Their family is not allowed in.
I have my parents here. Both have been infected. Dad was worse. He couldn't breathe.
Therapy of the sick is given to the balcony of the rooms. Close to the three - story balcony of the Infectious Clinic are the family members of the sick who hope for good news.

In some clinics where patients with COVID-19 are distributed, the disease caused by coronarys, family members are allowed to enter their relatives. According to the World Health Organization, this is illegal, and it can spread even more the virus.
More than 100 patients are lying in this clinic. In addition to the Infectious Clinic, patients also have their own Pulmology Clinic as well as in Sports Medicine, where they are currently extended patients.

There are also quiet regional hospitals. There are over 300 hospitalised patients throughout Kosovo.
The number of patients below 100 (infectious Clinic)” is never coming down, indicates the infection Murat Mehmeti, who makes daily visits to the A Department of Infectious Clinic. Usually, HIV-AIDS patients are treated in this country.
He says that even if a patient is released, the next patient immediately arrives.

One of the oldest doctors in this clinic is Infectologist Salih Ahmeti. He has passed several pandemics, which have been present in Kosovo since 1980. Ahmeti has been working part-time for more than three months.
These months, sleep I haven't done more than 3 or 4 hours a day”, Ahmeti relates, showing how difficult it is to cope with this disease.
Doctors and nurses, who have forgotten to embrace their children, wear white clothing several times a day to protect themselves from infection.

Everyone who enters the rooms where the patients are should wear these clothing, which generates a lot of heat at this time of summer. Then they wear masks with which the mouth and nose are covered, as well as shield placed on the mask to protect the eyes and other facial parts. They are also placed on two nylon covers to reduce the exposure to infection.

Not even health workers have escaped from infection. Over 350 doctors and nurses across Kosovo are infected with coronarys.
The death toll and Coronavirus infected has increased since early June, when restrictive measures were also released for citizens and economies.
On July 9th, eight patients with COVID-19 died, lying at the Infectious Clinic.

Since March, when the first Coronavirus cases were presented, over 4 thousand and 700 cases have been recorded in Kosovo. 102 patients have already died and over 2,000 have recovered.
After increasing these figures, the Kosovo government has made austerity measures and rigorous monitoring rather than establishing a state of emergency.
