Health Director in the Vushtrri municipality Sylejman Meholli tells Kosovo that most people affected by COIVD-19 in this municipality are in self-isolation because their situation is stable.
Syleman Meholl, Health Director of the Vushtrrit municipality
The number of active cases with COVID-19 in the Vushtrri municipality is 92 active cases, which most of them are in proselytizing, so they're in domestic conditions by getting treatment therapies against WHO medical protocols, IKSHPK and MSH. Their overall state of health is stable, cases that are with more clinical signs and require a more intense treatment including oxygen therapy are extended to the Infectious Clinic”, he says.
In recent days the Vushtrria municipality has marked smaller numbers of cases compared to the last weeks of June, which had the largest number of people affected by COVID-19.
In decline, the number Mehol says it has influenced citizens' awareness that masks, distances, and personal hygiene should be maintained.
In the last three weeks, our municipality is one of the rare municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo that digests or epidemic curves of cases with COVID-19 is declining. So while we've already had over 200 active cases about three weeks ago, there are only 92 active cases, and we still expect to reduce the number of active cases. Because I said a few weeks ago that the number of cases healed is constantly prevailing the number of new cases, and this has reduced the total number of active cases with COVID-19”, Meholli said.
Meholli declared that the municipality is standing close to all patients with COVID-19 who are in self-isolation.
Between the Main Centre of Family Medicine, our field teams are doing everything we can to be close to these cases through visits and through regular phone contacts that our teams get the affected families and the cases affected by COVID-19 about the concerns they have. However, still more efforts will be made in the coming days to strengthen our field teams so that we can be as close to them”, he said.
In the Vushtrri municipality there are 92 active cases of COVID-19, while the total number of infected persons is 414, healed of 313 cases and dead are 9 persons.
