The Commission for Buxhet and Transfere has discussed the nomination of Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani, about the sharing of 3m euros for the purchase of masks.
This proposal has not received the consent of members of the Democratic League of Kosovo on this Commission.
Indexline teaches MP Fatmir Rexhepi has voted against this proposal, while Shkelzen Hajdini has abstained.
The only ones who voted in favour were the GP deputies of the Movement “Vetevendosje”, Iron Murati and Mimoza Kusari-Lila. Thus, this proposal has not received approval to go to the Kosovo Assembly.
By contrast, chief Prime Minister Osmani has stated that its proposal for distributing free multiuse masks rests on the citizens' demand.
It has stated that it should not be spared in the purchase of masks, but be spared at other more luxurious expenses.
It's exactly the economic situation of citizens that has prompted me to make such an institution. Instead of worrying about the 3m euros that would be spent on masks for citizens we had to worry about the many luxury expenses that have been proposed by various institutions”.
The “Budget that can be used for masks to be taken from the expenses of institutions that want to use to purchase new furniture, because the furniture can wait, while the budget is meant for furniture, new phones and laptops and even armoured cars is to use it very much to ease the economic burden on the citizens who need”, she stated.
