Thaci's statement makes headlines in Latin America

Euronews, in its Spanish edition, speaks of President Thaci's present appearance before the Special Court in The Hague for alleged crimes during the war in Kosovo.

“We may have made political mistakes, but because we do not violate international law under any circumstances”, Euronews quoted Hashim Thaci as saying before leaving for The Hague.

Euronews names president Thaci as the anti-Serb guerrilla, anti-Serb campaign commander of UCKt.

Known portal: “Swissinfo” in Spanish, has dedicated an important article to the visit to The Hague of President Thaci.
“No one can rewrite the history”, Thaci told the media before the court. “I'm willing to face the new challenge and win, for my son, for my family, for my people and my country”

The Hague Special Court judges accused Kosovo President 52-year-old on 24 June of war crimes during the conflict with Serbia.
According to procedures, a judge should prove these charges to bring an accusation against him or not.
During the war, Hashim Thaci was one of the guerrilla leaders who fought for independence, the Kosovo Liberation Army.

And also a newspaper of silver, “Infobae” has dedicated an article to President Thaci's going to The Hague. The paper names President Thaci as one of the commanders of the UCK's emblems, who fought against Serbian forces.
