At the border checkpoint in Morina, President Thaci was hosted by organisations released from the KLA war and numerous citizens.
At Thaci border, meanwhile, he waved to them through Facebook and thanked them for their support.
A heartfelt thanks to you brothers and sisters, who in this difficult time not only because of my pandemic, today you have received me with open arms as always. Gratitude and gratitude for all citizens of our proud Kosovo. Always with you! HTH (Photo: Astriat Ibrahimi)”, Thaci wrote on Facebook.
President Thaci, last night after the interview ended, has said that in four days he has given his testimony regarding the activities he has made during the war period.
“I've just completed my testimony before the prosecutor of the specialised rooms. I am so glad that in four days I was able to give evidence of all the issues that relate to my activity during the war, and my efforts to peace, stability, development and progress. During these four days, I have been able to provide information about my role, my responsibilities during the war. Over the course of this period, I was accompanied by a lawyer, despite the fact that my testimony took a long time, we had productive sessions, now it's up to the prosecutor and the judge to assess my evidence fairly. If they do this professionally they can easily come to the conclusion that I did not commit any war crime”, Thaci said in front of the media.
Last month, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office has announced that on April 24th it has sent Kosovo's specialised Chambers, headquartered at The Hague -- an indictment of ten points for investigation, in which President Thaci, chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselin and others -- are charged with a series of crimes against humanity and war crimes, including illegal murder, forced disappearance of persons, persecution and torture.
It's still not clear who's in the other “group, as the Prosecutor's Office named them.
