Deutsche Welle journalist Bahri Cani, who is attending President Hashim Thaci's interview with The Hague Specialised Prosecutor.
Cani at Info Magazine in Klan Kosova suggests Thaci's interview started at 1300 and is still continuing.
I find myself in front of the Special Court's entrance from which the president of Kosovo entered at 1: 00 p.m. and the interview has not yet ended, the working schedule runs out until 5 o'clock but we still don't have any information we're waiting for”.
The “initially was a discussion about the defence of President Thaci, according to all likelihood Thaci has decided not to be quietly protected, and we are waiting to see how the first day has passed”.
Cani also talked about Thaci's address to the media before the interview.
His statement (Thaci) was not about Kosovo's opinion, but about international opinion, pointing to the war he has fought for Kosovo and that no one can rewrite history”.
“as far as his appearance was concerned, it was not the best and most convincing appearance of him, but as I said his message was about international opinion”, Cani said.
The Cani, among other things, showed that media interest from Kosovo and Serbia was small.
There have been people from Belgium, Holland, and various countries who have not been very large in support since they were little around”.
What is interesting is that there are few media from Kosovo, but there are few media from the Serbian side as most media are international. There are about 15-20 international media following this event”.
Among other things, the Hague showed that as far as three charges are concerned, they have surrendered and are expected to be confirmed.
Cani also stated that in law processes you see no politics but publishing the indictment is a bit strange.
I don't see any politics in law processes, but it's a strange coincidence that the Prosecutor published the indictment without confirmation of the Court just two days before the departure of Washington”.
I want to believe that the Special Court does not allow itself to be politicised by anyone, said Cani.
