Health Minister Amend Zemaj has signed two administrative guidelines, where the legal opportunity for offering SARS-Cov-2 tests is established in private health institutions, as well as in public health institutions.
Health Minister Armend Zemaj has signed two administrative guidelines today: Administrative Guide No. 012020 to complete and change Administrative Guide 092014 - Job conditions for space, professional framework and medical equipment of private health institutions outside hospital and management no. 02/2020 to complete and change Administrative Guide 06/2015 General and special hospital conditions”, said the announcement.
With the signing of these two new guidelines, legal opportunities for offering the SARS-Cov-2 testing are established even in private health institutions, along with public health institutions, the MSH says.
The instructions define the type of institutions that can provide this kind of testing, the conditions that should provide them, including space, equipment, type of testing, and their daily reporting at the National Public Health Institute”.
As stated in the report, institutions that will be licensed for these types of tests should report to the IKSHPK about the type of tests conducted, testmakers, the instrument/aparath with which the test was conducted, and the professional explanation of the test results by the specialist.
With these instructions, except for the molecular tests for detecting SARS' nucleinic acids, Cov-2, conducted in the medical labs of clinical microbiology, are also allowed to perform serological tests (for detecting anti-SaRS-Cov-2 antibodies); rapid tests detecting SARS-C-2 anti-gen, and rapid tests detecting anti-computers SARS-Cov-2, the guidelines have also defined the application mode for institutions that will conduct laboratory tests for SARS-Cov-2”, said at the end of the announcement.
