Switzerland didn't know what to do with overexposed respirators bought in time of pandemic

The history of hygienic masks has been collected and there are more than 200 million of them, and some orders have not arrived, the Ministry of Defence said, confirming the daily's writing {Sonntags Zeitung.
The paper refers to the government commission's co-verbal process, which says cantonal authorities are turning respirators into federations, and these have nowhere to preserve or maintain them.
This means that cantons can hold them, sell them in other countries, or donate them, perhaps to developing countries.
While the percentage of sick people who die from COVID-19 rose earlier this year, the countries rushed to buy respiratories to help seriously ill people breathe.
The defence ministry said that out of the 900 reviewers delivered by 24 June, 261 were preserved in military medical service, and 539 were distributed to cantons.
Another 300 respirators are expected to arrive by mid-August.
The government commissioned medical service to purchase equipment after the spread of the pandemic. She asked parliament to approve more than 2.5 billion Swiss francs for the purpose, and approximately a fifth of that amount was spent.
Buying protective equipment, medical supplies and tests is still under way, and a report on the total price will take place when everything is finished.
