Scientists do not yet know why this particular segment increases the risk of serious coronary disease. But the new findings, which were posted online on Friday and that have not yet been published in a scientific magazine, show incredible things.

This intermittent effect that occurred 60 thousand years ago is having an impact today, said Joshua Akey, geneticist from the University of Princeton involved in this study, NYT, translates Periscopi.

This part of the genome, which includes six genes of Chromosome 3, has had a very surprising journey throughout human history.

The vaccine is common in Bangladesh, where 63 percent of people have at least one portion of it. Throughout South Asia, at least a third of the people have inherited the segment in question.

In other countries, however, the segment is less common. Only 8 percent of Europeans have it and only 4 percent in East Asia. And there's almost no such thing as Africa.

It is not known what evolutionary model produced this distribution over the past 60 thousand years.

One of the possibilities is that the Neanderthal version is harmful and has been reduced over time. It is also possible that the segment improved people's health in South Asia, perhaps offering a strong immune response to viruses in the region.

Researchers have already begun to understand why Coddy-19 is more dangerous to some people than to others. Elders are more likely to get sick than young ones. Men are more at stake than women.

Social inequality is valid, too. In the United States, black people are far more likely to get sick than white ones because of the history of domestic systemic racism. This systemic racism has left niggers with a very high rate of chronic diseases like diabetes.

Genes play important roles as well. Last month, researchers compared people in Italy and Spain who were seriously ill by Covid-19shi with those who were easy to overcome. They found two locations in genomes linked to high risk. One was Chromosome 9, and it includes AB0, a gene that determines the type of blood. Next was the Neanderthal segment, Chromosome 3.

But these genetic findings are being upgraded to raply, just as the number of coronary infected people is growing. Just last week, an international group of scientists reduced the importance of type of blood.

This group's data showed an even stronger connection between the disease and the Cromosome segment 3. People who have two copies of the variant were three times more likely to suffer than people who did not.

Some 60 thousand years ago, some of the ancestors of modern people left Africa and were scattered to Europe, Asia, and Australia. They met the Neanderthals and they were through. When Neanderthal DNA entered our genetic pool, it spread through generations, long after the Neanderthals disappeared.

Most Neanderthal genes proved to be harmful to modern humans. They made it difficult for human health or made it harder for people to have children. As a result, Neanderthal genes became more rare, and many of them disappeared from our genetics.

But some of the genes have evolved.

In May, a group of well - known scientists found that a third of European women had a hormone receptor of Neanderthals. It is also linked to higher capacity and more successful birth.

Dr. Zeberg, one of the scientists, says he knew that Neanderthal genes common today even helped combat viruses. When modern humans spread out in Asia and Europe, they may have been infected with new viruses against which the Neanderthals had only developed protective mechanisms.

Dr. Zeberg examined Chromosome 3 in an online database of Neanderthal genomes. He found that the potentially dangerous version of Ovid 19shi was the same version found in the Neanderthal living in modern Croatia 50 thousand years ago.

It is possible, scientists say, that the immune response that had worked against ancient viruses ended in this case by overcoming the new coronary. People who develop serious diseases from Coddy 19 do so because their immune system develops uncontrolled attacks that damage lungs and cause inflammation.

Dr. Paabo said that the DNA segment may partly be the reason people of Bangladesh's origin are dying on a very high scale from the new coronary in Great Britain. /Periscopi
