First serial tests expected to arrive this week

He said they have already had contact with several companies as well as foreign embassies accredited in our country about the possibility that an amount of these tests will also come as a donation.

We now have the poor situation in the Pristina municipality, 18 health workers from the QKMF and the main centre are infected with Covid-19, while the other 54 in the self-isotation, on the other hand in Pristina municipality except we have three positive people, we are respecting the government's decisions on reducing staff, so that the rest of the staff will not be affected”, he says.

Nushi, in an interview for Kosova Prees, says that despite increasing the number of infected persons this municipality is able to manage the situation. Until it says two weeks later they expect the stabilisation of the number of infected.

As for restoring movement restrictions and closing gastronomy between 9:00 and 5: 00 a.m., Nushi admits he will bring problems for the economy.

“Nomer these 2 weeks is on the rise, we are able to manage the situation against increasing numbers, but up to this increase has come from disregarding recommendations. So we as citizens came to this situation ourselves, when we had a duty of only 2 measures to apply the carrying of masks and respecting social distance of three and a half meters to two meters. The measures that have come into effect with Government decision will cause problems in the city economy especially in the gastronomial part, but all these measures that have begun to apply, are more of a distributive measure and do not have that structural character... After two weeks we are waiting to stabilise the number of infected, we need to get used to this virus<1>, he says.

With the beginning of the pandemic, the Pristina municipality was praised for working on disinfecting roads and public spaces, as well as residential objects. But now that the number is on the rise again, there is no budget for such action to continue.

This, according to Nushi because of the budget, invited citizens to organise themselves and disinfect residential entrances.

“These types of home disinfection, which are large-numbered buildings, are not pre-priced because budgetary tools should be separated from the budget revision that we should be honest about because we don't have the opportunities we had in March, April, May, based on the decision of the regulatory public procurement commission, which had facilitated the signing of contracts with high-speed economic operators, now that decision has been abolished. So even if we go out with the tender now, it lasts and we can't intervene fast. Citizens can be organized themselves through certain companies. We're doing disinfecting of Pristina's municipality facilities, but right now for residential objects are not presumption enough means for disinfecting”, he says.

Otherwise, Pristina has become the first city to have exceeded over a thousand positive cases with COVID-19, where 73 cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours alone. /
