Authorities in Saudi Arabia have announced health protocols with the aim of preventing the spread of coronary during the 2020 pilgrimage season, halting gatherings and meetings among pilgrims.
In June, this country decided to limit the number of local pilgrims to pilgrimage to a thousand people to prevent the spread of the new virus after it banned foreign Muslims from performing the important ritual for the first time in modern history.
During this year it will be forbidden to touch the House. Moreover, each pilgrim must keep his physical distance of about three and a half feet [1 and a half m] from others during rituals, including the communion prayer and the circumambulation of the temple. The Center for Disease Prevention and Control took these measures.
The approach will also be limited to Mona, Muzdalifah, and Arafat, where only those who have permission for pilgrimage will go. The measure will enter the world from July 19th and will be worth it until August 2nd.
The use of masks will be binding for pilgrims and pilgrimage organisers.
