Money allocated for relief to workers (Ficcal Emergency Package) had remained hostage to non-respection of the budget, just as business rental aid and other separate measures were left to reduce economic losses from the Devid-19 pandemic.

The resulting delay was sharply criticised, especially by Safet Gerjaliu, the former head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, writes Periscopi.
The revised bill envisions 1 billion of 788m euros, with total spending totaling 2 billion and 620 million.
Besides the Fiscal Emergency Pack, the government has also established the country's economic recovery fund.
600m euros will be allocated from the budget to cover the lack of revenues of 232m euros as a result of the pandemic, and the fund will have 385m euros.
According to the 2020-23 Government Programme, over 1 billion euros for two years are expected to be mobilised. Prime Minister Hoti had promised 1 billion and 500 million for this period of time. /Periscope
