In the parliamentary debate over the rights of the contributing pensioners, which has been proposed by MP Teuta Haxhiu by the AAK, Minister of Labour and Social Goods Skender Recica, praising the debate as very important, said the issue of pension contributions has been his concern as MMPS minister in the past term.
But which, according to him, continues to remain even now, but not only with concern but also with its priorities and the current government.
Minister Recica said that in the previous mandate, they have drafted the concept of complete pension system reform, based on the drafting of a unique law in which all pension rights would be treated. The first point of this reform has been to create the fund for social security for the rate of pension and disability contributions.
However, he said this concept-document The MPMS was completed in November 2018, and the same was sent to the government and later to the assembly for approval, but there was no political will to be adopted.
Furthermore, Minister Recica said, they plan to adopt the reform concept in the fall of this year.
“I say it as a priority, because in the Labor and Social Management Ministry program, but in general, we've seen concrete action in order to solve all problems that our pensioners have faced for 20 years... This document concept we had completed in November 2018 and we had sent it to the government for approval today I want to be very open there was no capacity and political will to push this reform forward. Later in 2019 the Kosovo Assembly had established the special Commission to draft the Pension Code, but given the circumstances under which we've been through Kosovo remains without pension reform and no pension cod. What we are doing now, given the need and importance of the realisation of pension reform in the country, we are working with priority in this reform and we plan to adopt the concept-document of reform in the autumn of this year”, said Minister Recica. /
