Reagon BIK: Unacceptable allow of same - gender marriage

The head of the Kosovo Islamic Community with concern has received news of the civil code project prepared by the Ministry of Justice in which same-sex marriage is allowed.

“The head of the Islamic Community of Kosovo such a project legalising same-gender marriage considers it unacceptable because it conflicts with religious principles, human nature and violates the family code.

We ask the Ministry of Justice to give up this project and not make room for such initiatives that conflict with the essence of human life and nature.

This concern and calling on us as a religious institution, as believers, and as citizens of this country is aimed only at preserving and protecting our religious and religious, traditional, and national values.

Our society is not a discriminated society, but when it comes to the future of generations, family, and human nature, we cannot be silent and indifferent to something that goes against the essence of our life even against the will of God.

For us the family is holy, on which the continuation of life and human species on earth also depend.

Family family or family nest is just the one raised by the marriage of a man and a woman, which is one of the most important pillars of society. Her endurance and endurance are also the strength and endurance of the nation and of the state.

Hence, we do not view same - gender marriages as part of our common tradition and all the elements that make up this nation. We have a fine family tradition and this is a value to our society, a value we don't want and we don't have to lose.

Finally, we call on the representatives of the people in the Kosovo Assembly, regardless of their party affiliation, to take into account the benefit of our family, society and country, because the core of society is the family, not the individual, and we publicly urge them not to adopt this civil code as such”, says BIC's reaction.
