Among the government's first decisions, Kurti was abolishing decisions made by the preliminary government led by Ramush Haradinaj, but such a practice is being followed by the current government led by Avdullah Hoti.
One of these decisions that has abolished the Hoti Government relates to the return of diplomatic consoles. And that decision has not been agreed upon by former Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca.
Political Affairs Recognition Wissar Jamaica says abolishing this decision is not a hit. According to him, political appointees on diplomatic missions after the mandate ends would have to return on their own.
“As foreign minister Glauk Konjufca had made the decision because the number of appointed political ambassadors had exceeded political appointments by law. The Foreign Service Law argues that political appointees must be 50%, while the other half should be career ambassadors, so when the four-year term is passed they have no mandate to stay in their positions. Furthermore, political appointees after the four-year mandate is completed are no longer considered part of the” diplomatic foreign service, said for RTV Dukagjin, Visar Jamaica.
The decision made by former Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca could not be implemented after President Thaci had not decreed that decision.
