Council of mayors within Association of Communists of Kosovo is supporting the new government measures, including the state of emergency, in the struggle to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
So has the executive director of the Association of Kosovo municipalities, Sazan Ibrahimi, who after his virtual meeting with mayors and Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, has said they support Government in establishing new measures.
“At today's virtual meeting which the council of mayors Association of Communists of Kosovo was seen with Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, mayors of municipalities gave full support to the prime minister in taking new measures to save the lives of citizens, not bypassing the state of emergency”, he has said.
It for Kosova Prees, has stressed that with the declaration of the state of emergency in the country, there will be no blocking of the economy and the freedom of movement of citizens, but there will only be a set of measures that will affect the number of infected.
The mayors demanded from the prime minister the modalities of what the state of emergency will be like. And since Prime Minister Hoti said declaring the state of emergency does not mean complete closure of freedom of movement and economy Kosovo, but there will be some measures that will improve the reduction of the number of infected with Covid-19... . It is not the tendency of minimizing economic development and violating basic human rights. Everything will be in harmony with Constitution”, he said.
These measures are expected to come as a result of an increase in the number of infected individuals with Ovid-19.
