US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Washington is aiming to establish an international coalition to oppose China's influence.
He accused Beijing of using the coronary pandemic to further its own interests.
Pompeii made statements on July 21st in London after meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab.
Tensions between the West and China have increased due to Beijing's lack of transparency over the outbreak of pandemic, continued human rights violations, and cyber piracy charges.
Pompeo said any country that “understands the values of freedom and democracy” should recognise the threat that China poses.
“We hope we can create a coalition that understands this”, he said.
US relations with China are tense on a range of issues, including trade, intellectual property rights, 5G technology and human rights.
The United States has accused China of misleading the world in connection with the Corleone pandemic.
Washington has lobbied on Allies to stop using 5G technology of the Chinese company Huawei, saying the Chinese government can use it to spy on Western nations.
Huawei denies claims.
Pompeii praised the British decision to remove Huawei technology from his 5G mobile network.
