Several days after lack of quorum, the pandemic bill failed to be reviewed in accelerated procedure, the Parliament's Headship on Wednesday, the bill has been processed for review at the Commission for Health.
Fitim Uka, one of the members of this commission, says how Vetevendosje will examine the same, though according to him, it is too late for the country to become with such a bill.
Despite that, Uka says this bill should better determine the issue of punitive measures.
Even the other member of this commission, Bekim Haxhiu, says they are interested in quickly proceeding the bill until it stresses the need for its changes and improvements.
The law on prevention and fighting of the COVID-19 pandemic proposed by Kosovo Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani contains 8 articles that mainly talk about slight restrictions on human freedom and rights, restrictions at gatherings, etc.
As for penal measures, this bill refers to the law on fighting and preventing infectious diseases.
While Article 7 of this bill envisions that in cases where it is deemed necessary, then the KSF can commit to providing its assistance.
A week earlier, the government led by Avdullah Hoti had deemed Osman's bill unnecessary.
Despite the negative opinion from the Government of Kosovo, Osman again tried to make review of the law more of the support of the Parliament's deputies, but that its proposal did not pass.
